CBS 8 Sports Analyst John Longshore was on CBS 8 News at 6:00 to talk about college football's National Signing Day for recruits and the new assistant coaches who've just joined the Auburn Tigers.

Longshore says with the hiring of new offensive and defensive coordinators, Auburn head coach Gene Chizik can now concentrate on next season. But he says Auburn needs players. He says only Ole Miss goes into National Signing Day with fewer commitments than Auburn in the SEC.

He says Alabama's recruiting has been solid, with just a couple of spots left to fill. He says even as it stands now, Bama has an outstanding class.
