Child's Skull Found in Opelika
Sunday, 29 January 2012 10:47

Police say the partial skull of a child was found at a trailer home park in Opelika.

The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reports the partial skull of a 5- to 7-year-old child was found at the trailer park on Saturday morning after a resident discovered the remains.

Lee County Coroner Bill Harris said the sex and the age of the child are not immediately known.

No other remains were located, and Harris said the skull may have been brought to the area by animals. He said authorities are bringing in dogs to search for more remains.
