Winn-Dixie Recalls Bakery Items

This is an 8 On Your Side Consumer Alert -- Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. is voluntarily recalling three items from its in-store bakeries in Alabama.

The recalled items are: Winn-Dixie lemon bar cakes, Win-Dixie chocolate cherry bar cakes and Winn-Dixie iced cinnamon rolls in six-packs.

Company officials say the items' labels did not indicate that the products contained eggs and wheat, which can trigger allergies.

Winn-Dixie spokeswoman Mary Kellmanson said the company is offering full refunds to customers.

The company issued the recall after a customer complaint.

Customers with questions about the recalled items can call Winn-Dixie Guest Services at 1-866-WINN-DIXIE.
