Working families in Montgomery can now receive free help with taxes.

It's taking place at the Old Cloverdale School on Fairview Avenue.

Impact Alabama's annual tax preparation service is aimed at helping families eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit, which means your household earns under $50,000 a year, or as an individual you earn less than $25,000 per year.

Right now the free tax service is open on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12 to 8 and on Saturday from 9 to 3.

To learn more about the days and hours of operation you can go to www.impactalabama.org/taxprep or call 1-888-99-TAX-AL to make an appointment.
