New Drug Helps Treat Advanced Skin Cancer Print E-mail

The government has approved a new drug to treat an advanced form of skin cancer. The drug, known as Erivedge, will treat people with basal cell carcinoma.

It is approved for patients who cannot be treated with surgery or radiation.

It can also be used in cases where the disease has spread to other parts of the body.
