Adult Seat Belts Do Not Help Protect Small Children

Most parents use booster seats in their own car, but a new study finds 30 percent of them don't require one when their child is part of a carpool.

Doctors writing in the journal pediatrics say that decision could be dangerous because adult seat belts do not work as well on small children.

Most state laws require booster seats until kids are eight years old.
