Students at Goodwyn Junior High School in Montgomery need help bringing new life to their library.

Their library needs several upgrades. The librarian would like new books to replace those that are out of date or that haven't been checked out in decades. She has weeded out some books, but that has left several shelves bare.

There's also a need for more computers in the library. Some students say that they have to wait for their turn at the keyboard, which puts their classroom assignment deadlines in jeopardy.

School leaders would like to make some cosmetic improvements to the library as well. They had enough money to pull up old carpet to reveal the hardwood floors. But they would like new window blinds and furniture to make the space look better.

To help, call (334) 260-1021.
