This week's Golden Apple Award Winner is a 5th grade teacher at Edgewood Elementary School in Dallas County.

The person who nominated this week's golden apple teacher says that Corey Jones teaches from the heart.

He is known to pull out the fullest potential in students and specifically target what they are good at based on their own unique gifts and talents.

Jones says the main thing he wants his students to learn from him is discipline.
